yesterday we left the cold of ooty and splurged on a taxi ride to wayanad in kerala. it is only 90 kms, but takes more than three hours, talk about winding roads.
we stopped at a viewpoint on the way, pretty nice, but made us miss nepal.
then today we got up early, very early, and headed to the nearby animal sanctuary.
we saw spotted deer, a giant squirrel, wild peacocks and wild chickens, vultures, and best of all, wild elephants, and lots of them. tomorrow it is back to the beach. this time northern kerala.
