sisters...

they look a lot alike, but there certainly are some differences. managed to get shots of the girls, the same age, in the same clothes. thought it was fun to compare how different they are.

zoe day!

while we were in the states uncle scott and auntie liz introduced us to a discipline chart involving clipping up and down according to behavior. well, we have implemented here, and it has worked pretty well. on saturday zoe actually made it all the way to the top. in our house this entails a "zoe day". zoe got to pick what we did, and she wanted to go to andy's lekland, a big indoor playground. it was great fun. and we all had a great time. even eijla went down a slide or two. first with mama and zoe...
then with pappa, though she certainly did not seem to like the face first approach! she looked pretty scard...
zoe and pappa had a much better time face first...
then there was ice cream. eijla really got into it. managed to get a shot of her when she came up for air from inhaling pappa's ice cream cone!
now that zoe is a big four year old she was even brave enough to go on the free drop slides. the black was not so fun, but the green with only a short free fall was a hit. she even worked up the nerve to go by herself...way to go zoe!
getting ready...
"i know i looked scared, but i am really having fun!"
and into the sea of balls...
thanks for being such a great kid and clipping all the way up to a zoe day so we could all enjoy it! we love you zoe!

pulled out some of zoe's old clothes cause the eijla bean is a growin'. was so happy to see an old pair of favorite pj's. them is a stylin'.

eijla is 6 months old!

i cannot believe she is already 6 months old! time is flying by, and she is growing so fast. today she was managing to pull herself onto her hands and knees. it was great fun for a bit, but when she could not figure out how to crawl forward with out her knees sliding out from under her, it was not so fun anymore! congrats my darling baby girl! we love you!

åsgatan 4 and other things...

thomas took this picture this morning of zoe pointing to her egg. thought it was a great one. we all cook our eggs different lengths so we have to label them so we know whose is whose.
storytime with mormor...
and tomorrow is the first official showing of our dear old house. here is the listing. i am excited, nervous, and just a little sad. i sure hope it sells quickly, but i am going to miss it. it was our first home...
a great big shout out to farfar, farmor, and mormor for all your help in getting the house ready to sell. you guys have been wonderful and we sure do appreciate it!

my pasion flower finally bloomed!!!!!

one of my longest living plants is a passion flower i bought a few years back, and somehow it has survived, even when we have been away for months (thanks to kind souls who water my plants while we roam). however it has not bloomed in two or three years, and i was beginning to think it never would again. but the other day there there were 7 new buds, after i have given hope. and finally today one opened! oh the joy!
even my lady bug friends who hangs out in the passion flower was very happy to see the flower today!

painting eijla's room.... finally

we had bought stencils in the states to paint some cute things on the girls walls. and we finished zoe's room months ago. but poor little eijla has had to wait so long. (yeah, like she even noticed!). we had the morning free, so zoe and i painted all kinds of little creatures on eijla's wall.
i think we may have gotten a little carried away, but we had fun!
tonight we are heading to a circus in the village with the österström girls, should be interesting to see what kind of circus röke puts on!

the final side...

yes, that is right, we finally were free and the weather was somewhat okay, and well, put those things together, and out comes the paint.

thomas just finishing up the final trim paint. feels great to have a nearly completely green house! yippee!

drama queen hits the swimhall

yeah, that picture says it all. funny enough i asked her what was wrong, and apparently she had forgotten. then there was a bit of sisterly love...
just before we tortured little eijla once again. she actually looks scared in this shot, but when she comes up she doesn't complain at all.
then there was some wild slide time. first a couple times with mamma...
and then she went all by herself. we were completely shocked, as it is a fairly large slide. but nope, she just said she was going to go up and do it by herself and she did. though she always looked terrified during the last bit cause it is pretty steep and she definitely got some speed, but she said it was great fun and did it again and again. way to go zoe!

it must have been paint your face weekend!

the röke loppis was this weekend, so lars and anita came up, and the österstroms and mormor came over. luckily our drive way is huge so there was plenty parking for everyone. sadly the loppis ended up being a total disappoint, way too crowded, and we didn't find a single fynd, though that is not surprising since we didn't even get near a table! but we had fun at home with all our visitors. maya and zoe convinced me to paint their faces. zoe wanted to be a pink and purple zebra, and maya a pink and purple cat. sadly for them i am no artist, but seemed like t
even cute little ellie came up, she managed to jump out of their little fenced in area, so ended up having to be leashed to the trampoline. she did not seem to mind though.
eijla helped farfar grill dinner, she looks thrilled doesn't she?
zoe got really into the face painting thing, but on sunday she decided she wanted to be a mouse. i painted the nose and whiskers, but she complained and said she did not look like a mouse at all, so i added the ears and she was satisfied. she is just so darn cute, and stubborn.
