i have never uploaded a video to the blog before so thought would be fun to give it try. sorry it is not edited, so it is a couple seconds longer than it should be... see if this works..

a little exploring and a little fashion...

we just took a taxi out to another area of bangkok to explore a little. thought we might go see a movie, but they now only 3d, and it costs nearly as much as home, and most movies were in thai, so that was shot down pretty quick. we did however have a bit of fun.
we even found a little play area where the girls ran around and got rid of their extra energy.
back at the hotel zoe finally decided to try on her new princess dresses and give us a bit of a show...
purple with flowers, hmmm, who would have thunk it!

gold is a new favorite color as well, so this dress was also a hit.
and they rounded the day out with sister snuggles.... mysig

chinatown and little india

zoe has been begging to ride in a tuk-tuk since we arrived in bangkok, and today she finally got her wish. we hopped in one, and eijla had her first ever tuk tuk experience. aside from the exhaust fumes, i think she enjoyed it.
we stopped in a little indian mall and zoe and eijla had a little dance session to the horrible pop music they had playing there.
we bought all kinds of things for zoe's hair, but more importantly we bought the long anticipated princess dresses for the girls. we will have to have a fashion show with the dresses another day. but chinatown is full of crazy little shops. including this crazy stuffed animal store i happened to get a pic of the girls and thomas in front of.
i think the craziness of chinatown and little india really wore the girls out. they were completely decked by mid afternoon. lucky thomas who got to carry them around.
still sleeping on the bus ride back to the hotel...
and ended off the day with delicious street food. doesn't get much better than this (at least not while in a big city). i was delighted when we discovered that zoe loves tom kah, one of my favorite thai dishes!

weekend market in bangkok

we hit the weekend market. but with the narrow alleys and throngs of people the camera never came out. we mostly looked around and did not buy much. however the camera did make it out at the playground afterwards. the girls earned their playtime after braving the crowds.

zoe gets a makeover!

we were at the salon the other day, thomas had a haircut, and believe it or not i waxed my legs. zoe had a great time there. so much attention from everybody, one of the girls even painted her nails with two different sparkly colors! she was in paradise.
then she decided it was time for her haircut. she picked out the picture from a magazine of what she wanted it to look like, and then we took a before picture...
yes, that is right, my little girl wanted bangs. it hurt a little to watch them cut that hair, but she is getting to be a big girl, and definitely knows what she wants.
they even put pink highlights in her hair. here we have the after shot of my little fashionista!

sawadee khao san!

zoe is loving all the sensory input that is bangkok. especially shopping. we let her pick up a couple of hair thingeys the first time we were out, and she is having a hard time understanding why we cannot just buy everything. reality is harsh. but it is fun being back again in these familiar surroundings, surprising so little changes over the 10+ years we have been coming here.


there is a small coi pond by one of my favorite indian resturants. it also has flowering trees all around it. i am not sure if zoe constantly wants to go there due to the fish, or to pick up as many fallen flowers as she can.
even eijla took a stroll. man is she so close to walking on her own, i think she is just teasing us.

and we are off!

farfar drove us to the copenhagen airport now that they have closed svågertorp train station (boo hoo). he called later to let us know they had closed the bridge between sweden and denmark just minutes after he made it back to sweden due to falling ice. we were very happy to hear that he had made it back. zoe was delighted to find colorfully painted elefants on our way to security and begged to be photographed with them. ah, my little photo model!
after security we headed to the little play area for the girls to pass the time before the flight. eijla found a little wagon she pushed herself around in, it was so cute.
zoe insisted on holding eijla while waiting to take off. we had a window seat on the first flight and the girls really enjoyed it.

the second flight we had the forward seats with extra leg room and where they could hang a bassinet for eijla. thomas and i really enjoyed that!
it was a long night but our little troopers were great little travelers!
exhausted but happy to be in bangkok. zzzzzzzzzzzzzz!

a little wii and a little walking...

been really enjoying our wii, i have even dared to try some of the yoga it offers. zoe thought i looked so funny that she had to join in, my little yoga guru!
monica even tried it out. looks like she was enjoying herself....
then eijla has suddenly realized that she can walk. well, she is not so sure yet, but if someone holds her hand she walks just fine. still does not dare try it on her own yet, but i think it is just around the corner! i have a feeling we will be running after her in thailand.
they wore themselves out today. my adorable little cuddly crazies...
and now we are off to thailand. looking forward escaping from all this snow. try to update enough to keep you all jealous!

came home from the gym this evening...

i guess she will be a meat lover like her big sister and pappa.
