splish, splash in mysore

it just so happens that mysore has a combined amusement and water park,  grs fantasy park.  here are thomas and the girls enjoying the lazy river...

then there was the wave pool with its very own stone chariot.

i found this too be just too amusing.  there was no smoking allowed, except for here.  yes,  right next to the jungle jim.  go figure.

there were a few rides even.  eijla rode on the merry go round.  and the girls even rode on crazy fast swings and something called the catepillar, among others.

then we went on the "wild river" again, and again.  it was a splash fest.

and a bit of waterfall fun.  there were slides and big water pools.  we played until zoe was shivering and blue around the mouth.  it was really a great family day.

siam water park

we finally made it to siam water park. zoe thought it was forever before we finally reached the day, but it is here, and well, we had a blast.
zoe and pappa went down a really tall slide. thomas and i both went down the colored slides, and were pulling our swimsuits out of our butts big time.
zoe took eijla around for a little tour in the big wave pool
eijla is really a little water baby! (look at all those teeth! there are already 8 of them!).
zoe is getting better and better about going underwater. so proud of her!

then we found the eijla slides... zoe and eijla LOVED them!
but zoe's absolute favorite thing of the day was definitely the log ride. i think she went at least 7 times. and it is no kiddie ride!
the park was great. not only water rides, but there were this hilarious little "tours" of dinosaurs times and safaris through africa, definately a great laugh.


then it was back to the slides. zoe went on the big windy ones all by herself, luckily they did not check her as she was technically 10 centimeters too short to be allowed on them. had to catch her at the bottom cause the water was too deep!

and we rounded of a great day with a ride on the carousel on the way out...

my leg is still wet from having gone on the log ride so many times with zoe. i did not pee myself!

drama queen hits the swimhall

yeah, that picture says it all. funny enough i asked her what was wrong, and apparently she had forgotten. then there was a bit of sisterly love...
just before we tortured little eijla once again. she actually looks scared in this shot, but when she comes up she doesn't complain at all.
then there was some wild slide time. first a couple times with mamma...
and then she went all by herself. we were completely shocked, as it is a fairly large slide. but nope, she just said she was going to go up and do it by herself and she did. though she always looked terrified during the last bit cause it is pretty steep and she definitely got some speed, but she said it was great fun and did it again and again. way to go zoe!

our underwater world...

the other day we were able to head back to the swim hall, and this time pappa was able to come with! yipee! eijla was her usual waterbaby self. thomas is holding her under a mini waterfall and she hardly bats an eye.
zoe was super excited about pappa being there cause that meant that she had someone to go down the big slide with!
then of course there was the underwater fun. pappa was first up. such a silly pappa.
then it was eijla's turn. granted she didn't have a choice, but she did not complain. i think it looks like she is having fun!
and i am ever so proud to present, underwater zoe. yep, went underwater with her hole head all by herself! my little mermaid!
it was a great evening, and we had a lot of fun. eijla was so wiped that she didn't even make it home before she was snoozing away.

my little water babies

so we finally made it back to the swim hall. last time we had been swimming was with the jameson jungle in utah! when eijla was too young, so this is eijla's first official swim hall experience. here they are before all the splish and splash.
they sell kiddy swim glasses at the pool hall, and since we are trying to convince zoe that water in your face is no big deal, i let her pick a pair. pink, uh, what a surprise (no they did not have purple). anyway, she loved them though, i think they are just a little too wide between the eyes for her at the moment.
zoe loved that eijla got a kick out of being splashed with water. she really is a water baby. loved every minute. even when i dunked under a few times. sadly thomas had to work, so i could not get a pic of her underwater, maybe another time.
zoe was actually swimming on her own and doing well. we were working on keeping her legs behind her instead of under her. she is definitely making progress.
and the swim goggles seemed to help, she even put her head under the water all by herself. sadly i missed on the shot as i was holding eijla in one hand and couldn't really see where i had the camera. i couldn't convince her to do it again, but there is always next time. but i am so proud of her for going under her self and not crying when she came up? how did we end up with a kid that hates having water in her face?
zoe took some shots of eijla and i, she did great, but i am not so sure what eijla's expression says in this shot.
it felt great to finally get back into swimming. and i am so happy that eijla loves the water so much. now we just have to get in the habit. and hopefully pappa can follow with sometimes. we missed you pappa!
