three.... it´s a magic number

he has arrived! welcome to the world baby boy thorén! 
checked into kristianstads hospital with a really big tummy...

 a few hours later we had our amazing  (not so little) little boy!

 the little man and man and his dad, tired after a hard days work,  time to celebrate!

 we enjoyed a wonderfully snuggly morning with our newest family member.

 but now it is time for his first car ride.  going home to röke to meet his big sisters!

party time!

march is party time around here.  mormor spent her birthday with us.  chocolate cupcakes and bungee cords to celebrate!  happy birthday mormor!

 and then mormor threw the new baby a baby shower!  our swedish friends got to have a little fun with american culture.  thanks for the party mormor!

Eijla is 3!

Happy Birthday to our dear Eijla!  woke her with song and of course a princess crown!  she was so cute and got excited about every little present. love what a positive girl she is.

 she had to give some birthday snuggles to her little brother...

 zoe and eijla decorated the cake themselves.  eijla said she did not want frosting, so they made all kinds of pretty decorations out of mandelmassa.  creative little monkeys.

 we hope all your wishes come true eijla!

we are so glad that you exist and for the the love and fun you bring to our family.  there is only one eijla!  happy, happy birthday to our unique and amazing eijla!

Papa fyller år!

today it was papa´s birthday!  eijla was a great little baker!  made a super yummy cake!

 mysig födelsedagskalas med bara oss.  hoppas du har en underbar år papa!

i am getting old!

Tidholms dropped in for a visit, the girls were so very happy!  and we celebrated me getting even older. (gammal tant!). 

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ZOE!

started the day off with singing and presents in bed,  then papa´s yummy pancakes with ice cream for breakfast!  

 

lunchtime brought a herd of friends to celebrate her big day.  there was fun and games.

and chocolate muffins! 

and then of course a water fight!  there were some wet but happy kids that headed home…

then there was time for a bike ride, no more training wheels!  but still working on the balancing.

 

then a super yummy cake to be shared with the grandparents!  yum! not a bad day for turning six! 

 

pappa fyller år!

happy birthday pappa!  hipp hipp hurra!  it is pappa's day!  we woke him up with singing and breakfast in bed.  after food and snuggles we headed to the nearest wildlife sanctuary for a little more adventure.  we rode through the jungle on our little bike, and then hiked up to a treetop lookout.  zoe was so brave and climbed all the way up and down by herself.  a guy promised that if she could do it, than he would.  he made up about 3 meters and chickened out.  zoe thought he was a bit silly.

 we saw lizards, butterflies, frogs, and some pretty cool trees.

 we stopped for lunch at a cozy little place where zoe got to climb a coconut tree, and then we walked down to a little stream afterwards to cool down. 

 on the way out of the sanctuary we stopped to see the rescue animals,  zoe really hit if off with shinky the giant squirrel. 

then it was off to dinner on the beach again.  happy birthday my dear swedish meatball, i hope you know your girls are all crazy about you! puss.

happy birthday to me!

  i was spoiled rotten today.  thomas and the girls woke me up with breakfast in bed, fresh avocados and tomatoes on toast, yum!  then it was a snuggle day!  blanka and her family came over to join us for cake at the german bakery.  but not before blanka and zoe decorated themselves with shiny wrapping paper.  very stylish young ladies.

 most of us "carpooled" to the bakery where we had super yummy cake.

  zoe chose to have "happy birthday mommy" on the cake, too cute.  then a delicious dinner on the beach with kingfish vindaloo and good company.  a fantastic birthday.  now i just hope i can make thomas´ just as special next week.

happy birthday maya

hipp hipp hurray for maya, who turned 5 today!  so we headed to andy's lekland for the day.  great fun was had by all...

then it was back to maya's house for food and cake and fun. snapped this shot of anya and eijla playing, we have a similiar pic of maya and zoe on the same three wheeler, funny how life repeats itself.  same, same, but different!

zoe turns 5 part 2

so zoe got two birthday parties this year, lucky monkey that she is.  farmor, farfar, and mormor came over for a sunday afternoon feed, bringing presents and snuggles.  zoe cornered mormor right away for a book reading...

while eijla entertained farmor and farfar with her extensive vocabulary of rolling r's and funny fish sounds.

and what does a 5 year old pick for her meal of choice?  why artichokes of course!  one of her all time favorite foods,  just wish i could get them to grow faster out in the greenhouse!

and then there was chocolate barbarpapa cake with lots of rainbow sprinkles. 

you could say we had one satisfied 5 year old on our hands.  seems like she is growing up faster than i can keep up with.  but i love sharing these milestones with her.  i am afraid i am going to blink and she will be off to college! 

zoe is 5 years old today!

we woke the birthday girl up with singing and presents and of course ribbons and pink balloons.

an extra big birthday kiss for my amazing and oh so grown up 5 year old. i even wore purple today in her honor.

then she had her favorite girlfriends over for a bit of cake and celebration.  they were so cute.  but i think there was almost always one that was grumpy and avoiding the others. but luckily they switched it up, so i think they had some fun in the end. 

zoe and her big creamy, chocolate, my little pony, with pink butterfly candles cake.  yeah, we got ourselves a real girly girl princess!  congratulations zoe!  we love you and are so proud of you and all the amazing things you do.  you are our little ray of sunshine.  happy birthday.

Happy Birthday Eijla!!!

Our little eijla beanie turned one today! hipp hipp hurra! we woke up to song and presents...
a cute little monkey for our cute little monkey!
then super yummy breakfast at the bakery...
then off to the beach for a bit of birthday fun in the sun...

since it was her birthday, eijla got to smash all the sand castles. she was eijla the destroyer! we could not build them fast enough...
then off course it was off for a bit of elephant trekking, what else does one do on their very first birthday?
and of course there was the feeding of the elephants. zoe was the championed at that...
then it was time for a birthday nap with extra farfar snuggles...
and then down to the beach for a sunset walk and of course eijla's first ever, very own ice cream cone. she devoured the entire thing. and really, really enjoyed it, can't you tell?


then there was some high flying by the girls thanks to thomas...
i know it doesn't look like it, but eijla was laughing like crazy, she loved it!

then it was back home for the cake...
zoe and pappa helped blow out the candle, after we made sure that eijla made a wish...
