midsommars day part 2

after the "beach", the österströms headed home and we headed south. the puppies will be going to their own homes this next week, so this was our last chance to see them all. we can always use a little extra puppy snuggles! the girls were pretty excited to see farfar and farmor as well.
zoe gave farfar some tips on how to scrub new potatoes. i think he took her advice to heart.


what's that? a bird, a plane? why no, it is a zoe monster. pappa threw her around like a ball, and she loved every minute of it.
luckily pappa only pretended throw around eijla, and she thought that was just fine.


when it was time for the puppies to eat. eijla thought she could join in the fun. a couple of them had to sniff her out, but it seemed like she was excepted, until...
she started splashing in their food, then they were not so into it.
but eijla had a blast, she even thought the clean up was fun.

our last puppy snuggles! boo hoo. luckily farmor and farfar will be keeping one, little ellie. so the snuggles will not be totally over. thanks for one last visit with your amazing puppies bonita!

puppy snuggles

yesterday we headed south to help out christer and jessica, a little payback for all the help they gave us with the minivan. since we were already in the deep south of skåne, we stopped by for a bit of puppy love at farmor and farfar's house.
zoe really had fun snuggling with them. they have gotten so big and vivacious at they can certainly hold their own with her. when she stood up after this picture one of the puppies had bitten into her hair and did not want to let go. it did however let go when it realized it was flying off the ground by its teeth!
farmor and farfar will be keeping one of the puppies, ellie. thomas likes to give her a little extra snuggles.
farfar and eijla were checking out the busiga puppies. at one point eijla was actually inside the fence with them, but i do not think she is quite ready to hold her own with them, they are growing up so much faster than my little girl, thank goodness.
however, she did manage to hang out on her own for a little bit. pretty good for three and half months.
and i just had to document her first time sitting in a high chair. just happened to be the same high chair pappa sat in when he was a little baby too. why do these little munchkins grow up so fast?

today was a fun day, we had maya over for a bit of fun and the puppies came up for a visit.
though it seems as though maya and zoe kicked them out of their little house.
the girls had a great time with puppies, and they are starting to get bigger and bigger so they are now holding their own with these crazy three year olds. and of course we have a happy little monkey in her new summer dress and sun hat (thanks jonas, angelica, and ell!). she seems to think that she has a very yummy hand.

3 months old and a bit of puppy love

i cannot believe that little eijla is already 3 months old. she is just growing up so fast. so we headed south so she could get a little puppy love.
though, honestly that was not the only reason. our car was FINALLY approved! yipee! here is thomas changing to plates to the permanent ones. what a crazy long story it has been, but we are finally legal to drive.
zoe was of course excited to go and see the lambs. she sure is a good helper, feeding and helping take care of them. a little lamby love?
and farfar was busy getting as much eijla snuggles as he could. she was loving it.
