so now we are back in sweden, and i have been too sick to even sit at a computer and update until now. so time for a little backtracking. one of the last items on our things to do list before we left was to hit the weekend market in bangkok. it is crazy big. they sell everything. you would almost think we bought everything. arriving in bangkok we had 20 kilos, flying out we had nearly 80! one of my favorite items i picked up was a zoe monster, as you can see she just fit in my bag. hahaha.beside the market is a park. i had to put this shot in because it still difficult for me to believe that my darling, loveable, little offspring is such an avid meat eater.
zoe really enjoyed the tuktuks of bankgko. they are little car like vehicles that are actually more like a motorized tricycle, they manage to get through all the horrendous traffic jams in bkk. we had to let zoe ride a couple of times, here is here and papa on her first ever tuktuk adventure.
and here i believe we have the one and only family photo from the entire trip. after losing the majority of my fotos on that crashed harddisk (i am still recovering from the shock and horror of it all), i have realized we lost alot of memories, but at least we still have them in our heads, until dementia starts setting in anyway.
we walked a lot in bangkok. we walked here, and we walked there, heck, we walked just about everywhere. and zoe is getting big. she weighs a lot, and carrying her on our shoulders and in her sling can only go for so long til your shoulders and back start to ache, but we finally came up with a good solution, we emptied out the backpack we keep all of her stuff in and stuck her in it instead. she loved it, and was a bit easier to carry her, though when we had done too much shopping we had to take her out and put the stuff in.
as per tradition, every year we do a trip, every year we get a haircut. we waited really till the end this time, but we got it in. here is zoe being a pretty good girl getting her 2nd ever haircut.
and then it was time to say good bye to asia, but it was a long trip home, including a 12 hour layeover in dussledorf. but we managed to find some fairly comfortable couches.
