finally a big enough bed for the whole family!

after a few days work, and with a lot of help from the girls, our new bedroom is already for our new family member.  we bought another 80cm bed, and now we have bedding wall to wall. that is right 240 cm of pure bed, and no one can fall out cause there is no way out!  looking forward to some good night sleeps!

construction time again...

(thanks for the title Martin Gore!).  Yep,  what else do we do when we come home from a trip but tear a wall down?  this time we are making our master bedroom bigger.  there is not enough space for our growing family in our little bed anymore!  everybody helped out.  it is going to be great!

when everyone helps out it goes really quickly.  only a wall to build, a floor to lay, and walls to paint.  going to so nice to have a big enough space for a big enough bed for all of us!

under construction...

so we have been accumulating all the stuff we need to redo our kitchen, and now it has finally happened.  new big sink, fancy induktion stove, new wooden countertop, and a nice new window that opens easily!  yeah!
so happy to be rid of the old rotten window that the previous owners had so smartly painted shut.
then zoe even helped with the tiling. she is quite the little renovator!
all done!  even got the christmas curtains up, and most likely they will be up until christmas next year as well.  but loving our new kitchen!

spring is flying by...

the weather is still cold, even been freezing almost every night. so thomas and the girls have been busy working inside the house. ripped off all the wallpaper and crap on the main kitchen wall and started prepping it for tiling.
we had a visit from anya and maya and their pappa tom. eijla and anya played, uh, lovely music on the piano.
the tiling is up, and eijla is enjoying her new little perch on the new windowsill with her friend violet.
meanwhile zoe and thomas are hard at work tiling the rest of the wall. going to be great to have a kitchen that is a bit more our style, not to mention, much easier to keep clean than the ugly weave wallpaper.
my favorite shot of the week was of zoe while watering the plants. though i am not sure how much actual water the plants got. bonita and zoe were soaked anyway.

and so it begins...

thomas is crazy, been home a couple of days, and he is already installing windows like crazy. but i am not complaining. going to be so nice to have windows that open cause they were not painted shut. and ones that close proper without huge gaps! yeah!
eijla is really getting into the she can feed herself stage. and there is really not arguing with that. though it makes for a messy eijla.
and she is really picking up the sign language, she says thank you and please. here she is signalling that she is all done. our baby genius!

still renovating that bathroom

so even with thomas´ trip to scotland, we are still moving forward with the bathroom. before he left we were able to get all the walling up, which due to swedish wetroom rules is very expensive cement coating styrofoam. well, that is at least how i would describe it. then also according to swedish laws, we had to paint sealer multiple times. basically, we could fill our bathroom up with water and use it as a huge bathtub! when thomas came home from his luxurious trip, the tiling began.zoe was a great help as usually, still amazes us how strong that kid is, she carried a lot of tiles, and they are not small, nor light. zoe is so tough!
i got to help a bit, adding to the room, with a bit of mosiac like tiling.
and then zoe had to check it all out, making sure we knew what we were doing. feels great to finally get it looking like a bathroom again, well, almost.
