last bit of fun before baby boy thoren arrives...

well, it is really coming down to the line.  the baby is due the 10th of april, so it is just a waiting game now.  the girls are so excited to have a little brother.  and i am always a bit nervous about the delivery, but is going to be fun to have a baby around again.

the österströms came over for an early spring picnic and a bit of playtime.

 farmor and farfar came up to give the belly a good luck belly rub!

 and the girls are just waiting, waiting, waiting...

 but zoe keeps losing her teeth.  wonder if she will have any left before her little brother comes!

mysig pyssla på en vinters dag

it is cold out. but warm in our kitchen.  had a great visit with the österström girls and made ourselves some yummy rainbow cookies! 

 

the dogs are sad the snow is melting.  much harder for them to catch snowballs..

when pappa is away, the girls will play

thomas has been working all kinds of crazy long hours, including nights and weekends.  we miss him terribly, but do not let it spoil our fun.  so when monica called up and said their pipes were clogged.  we happily opened our bathing services to them.  though we got lovely company in return.  the girls had a great time together.  since thomas and i have been working so much, we have not had time to meet up so it was a fun surprise.  the girls of course hit the field for flowers...

 then we made dinner, zoe and maya made the salad all by themselves, and it was really delicious.  they were pretty proud of themselves, as well they should have been, yums!

 it worked out pretty good for me as well, as i had a fotoshoot that evening, and they watched the girls for me.  luckily it was timed just right and we missed the rain, the pics are on my foto blog.
 and i could not help but put this one in,  anya took full advantage of the bathtub and accessories.  cracks me up. thanks family österström for all the fun!

what? summer already?

the other day we had a picnic at zoe and eijla´s dagis, and since it was skolavslutningen,  it was dagis avslutningen for zoe.  cannot believe she is so big, going to move over the the "big röke school" in august.  but seems like they are going to have a fun class, though i feel a bit bad for the boys, the girls outnumber them 5 to 2!

 then of course whenever we get the chance we swing by the österströms for a bit of lovin', though it is not always frivilligt on anya´s behalf.

 the plants are in, the starts up popping up.  it is starting to be green!

tyringe dagarna

it is that time of year again, we headed down to åparken to meet maya and anya and have some fun.  yes, tyringe dagarna are here.  we parked at mormor's and brought her along for fun.  on the way we stopped and checked out a little duck family...

then it was ride after ride, until the tickets were finished...

on the stage they had a children´s show.  zoe and eijla were so engrossed, that they totally forget about everything else, but not maya, she knew how to flirt with the camera.

then there was free glasspinnar!  mums!  great way to spend the morning, and luckily it did not rain.  thanks for a great time family österström and mormor!

pyssla and pumpkins

i have been talking about making a mirror for eijla for months.  mormor found one at a loppis and we designed the vinyls signs for it.  luckily there was a lot of space left over on the sheets, so zoe and eijla ended up with lots and lots of vinyl stickers, a real hit.

 thought that the mirror turned out really cute.  zoe took a picture of it for us.

 then we finally had the österströms over for dinner.  seems like forever since last time. good food and good company makes for a perfect evening.  since halloween is just around the corner, we got a pumpkin for the girls to carve.  they designed half the face each.

 turned out pretty cute,  eyelashes and all.  and the princesses were very proud of their artwork.

happy birthday maya

hipp hipp hurray for maya, who turned 5 today!  so we headed to andy's lekland for the day.  great fun was had by all...

then it was back to maya's house for food and cake and fun. snapped this shot of anya and eijla playing, we have a similiar pic of maya and zoe on the same three wheeler, funny how life repeats itself.  same, same, but different!

chillaxin with the österstöm girls...

we enjoyed the company of the young österström girls today.  zoe and maya basically ran off to play in the garden all day.  so anya and eilja ruled the indoors.  they were super cute, and played pretty well together.  it is so fun to see them reach the age where they play together instead of side by side.  they shared their spaghetti for lunch,  not sure what it is with these two, but they sure like to share food.  they do not eat nearly as well if forced to eat their own food off of their own plate.  such crazy little silly monkeys.

then anya was serenading eijla and her doll.  it was pretty cute. anya played.  eijla hummed along, and rocked her little baby.  such sweetie these two little blondes are.

then zoe managed to find a huge cucumber out in the greenhouse and decided to make a phone call with it.  i believe she was calling babyland (the imaginary place where babies come from, and a million stories that she has from there.)

summer days are flying by...

the other day we had a lovely visit with the österström girls.  anya and eijla have an amusing way of eating.  eijla usually puts her food on anya's plate and then anya feeds eijla.  eijla will eat anything, so i think she ends up eating both hers and anya's food in the end.  pretty entertaining for the rest of us.

then the garden has been producing, yeah!  here is zoe with two of our first cucumbers.  they are canning cucumbers but she loves to eat them anyway.

then one rainy afternoon we headed over to mormor's house for a visit with her friend ellie and her daughter kimberly.  zoe and kimberly really hit it off.  boy how those girls can pyssla!

thomas mowed our grass the other day.  it has finally come in enough that it looks like we have a yard instead of a mud pit. yeah!

 

we headed into tyringe for the day today.  first we stopped at mormor's house to drop off some plants for her garden. so eijla snuck in a little mormor snuggles.

then it was off to österströms for playtime!  i think i have a pic of zoe and maya about this age on this same swing.  these two are so different though.  love the different personalities.

nice to have a fun, relaxing day with friends.  and the weather is nothing to complain about either!

monica and the girls came over for a visit today.  always so much fun to see them.  we made chocolate chip cookies.  eijla made sure she shared her cookie with monica.  nice and sticky.

and of course, the big girls had to get their girliness on, so it was fingernail painting all around.  i am beginning to think zoe is heading towards a career in beauty.  hmmmm.

så blir en small barnsföraldars fest!

tom turned, well, really old. so we all headed over their house to party with him and monica. lina and elin were also there. it was a crazy party. let's see, monica read books to the little ones...

then she read yet another story to the girls. hmmm, i am beginning to wonder if our ability to actually party has disappeared with diapers and princess dresses! i did not even have a single picture of the birthday boy. but happy birthday tom, thanks for sharing your calm, but enjoyable evening with us.
of course today i had to rest and recover from the big party last night. so eijla and i have laid in the hammock and tried to figure out the building instructions for my greenhouse, as it is just too windy to try and build it today.
