after a our camping trip we headed down to farmor and farfar's so that pappa and farfar could drive to germany and stock up on supplies. while there eijla decided to sit up all by herself for, well, a really long time. i think it was at least five minutes, not sure where it came from, but suddenly those tummy muscles kicked in. way to go eijla!
while we were down there zoe borrowed farmor's hair cutting scissors and cut pappa's hair. she did a really great job, especially considering she is only four!
while we were down south, farmor, the girls and i headed to our favorite greenhouses, they were selling out their huge hanging plants. so zoe got her very own, and even got to hang it wherever she wanted on the house. she was very pleased that it was purple and pink and so very big!

the camping saga, brace yourself....
that's right it is going to be a long one, here we go....
we piled the girls, the dog, ourselves, and a bunch of camping gear in toothless and off we went on our little adventure. it was incredibly cozy in the tent, even eijla thought it was great.
the first night's place we found by chance, and it ended up being really nice. we had a lovely walk down to the beach, with lots of great views...
then it was back to the camp for a little bit of dinner, thanks to farmor and farfar's camp stove!
the next day we headed off and ended up driving a lot more than we wanted to but ended up at a pretty nice, but crowded campground. luckily they put us tenters way out of the way, so it ended up being pretty private anyway!
we were lucky and it only rained the evening we got there, and the next day was pretty nice. we headed down to the doggy beach, which ended up not really being a beach or being anywhere near the campground, but bonita really seemed to enjoy it!
then we headed to the people beach, where there was even a big slide into the water, zoe went on it only once and thought that was enough. she is used to swimming in the tropics or in swimming pools, poor kid was shocked how cold the water was!it was a beautiful little stroll from the beach back to the campground.
we had a lot of fun blowing bubbles at different times, zoe thought it was great fun to blow bubbles that the leaves would catch. managed to get one with a reflections of the silly monkey.
the rocky area between the campground and the beach was a great place to explore and let bonita run around for a bit.
after spending a couple of nights at a crowded campsite we decided to head out and look for something a bit more our style. we made a stop at a cafe with yummy food and eijla enjoyed chillin' out.
then we stopped for some groceries a bit later, and eijla had her first taste of ice cream, as you can see she really got into it.
finally we found our little bit of paradise, it was even right next to lake and a bit forest full of blueberries ( and sadly ants as well, had to pick the berries fast before we were covered in the ants!)
we found an ant free spot covered in soft moss so we all took our shoes off and enjoyed the feeling on our feet.
we even explored the shallows of the lake, before heading back to our camp.
we bought yatzee, and this is zoe telling us how to play by zoe rules, it was rather amusing.
crazy pappa even went for a morning swim with bonita in the cold, cold water!
then it was time to pack up again and head south towards skåne. we had one last little lunch stop at lake where we ate yummy bread and toppings, and pappa and the girls swam and played in the sand.
zoe was a great help the entire trip. she was so great about taking care of her little sister.
but it was not too long and they were both passed out and away drove home.thanks a great trip my dear family. you guys are the best. i look forward to more camping adventures with you in the future.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ZOE!!!!!!
it is hard to believe that our little zoemonster is 4 years old! we started our zoe day off with a real zoe breakfast of pappa's pancakes with strawberries and ICE CREAM. as you can see zoe was pretty upset about it.
all morning it rained so we did not go outside, but when it finally stopped, we blinded folded her and brought her out to her big present from all of us (grandparents too!). she was pretty darn excited. but then again, so were we, so we all gave it a go...
even little eijla got in on the action.
after all the trampoline fun, the weather cleared up and guests arrived. and zoe donned her chosen birthday princess dress. but fancy dresses did not stop the trampoline fun.
of course i had to get a couple of shots of my beautiful 4 year old princess in her beautiful flower garden. she is so proud of her flowers, and right she should be they are gorgeous, as is she.
and then there was more trampoline fun. though sadly the dress ripped, so there was yet another costume change for the day. though the dress was in fact repaired by mormor and zoe!
she was actually showing us her ballet moves here. it was so cute, especially since she has never taken ballet. but she was actually very good, as was the choreography!
the puppies were also with for the birthday celebrations.
and the österströms showed up just in time for some laughs and...
some really good looking cake (eat your heart out liz! ha ha ha). she blew out her candles, but seriously the things a four year old wishes for. crazy kid.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! to our adorable, lovable, multi-talented, chocolate covered, super silly, high drama, and absolutely amazing zoe monster! we love you!
